Welcome to our latest edition of our G Shock collaborations round up. There are three to mention this week so let’s get started.
First up is the latest in a long line of collaborated designs between BAPE (Bathing Ape) and Casio G Shock. This design is based on the DW-6900 G Shock and features the Bathing Ape ape logo on the strap as well as an “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” print detail. On the face dial you’ll fine the BAPE logo as well as a “Go! Ape” print. The G Shock has been given an all black matt finish with orange red digital display. We could find no information on numbers produced and the only price we could find was in Japanese Yen; ¥21,000 which is about £155 GBP. Presumably then you’ll only be able to import this from the Far East direct from BAPE.
Our second feature sees Casio team up with UK clothing brand Garbstore. Garbstore has customised a now bestselling GA-100 G Shock watch. The dial has been tweaked with a grey and black finish as well as a rather fetching indigo digital display. The strap has been given a subtle check print finish and features a number of logos. The G Shock is packed in a specially made leather pouch produced by UK company The Heritage. You can buy the G Shock directly from Couverture & The Garbstore here priced at £185 GBP. No word on numbers produced.
The final G Shock this week is a collaboration with Tokyo brand Kinetics and New York brand Krink (we think the design was by Craig ‘KR’ Costello of Krink fame who are an art supply company but the watch is only being sold through Kinetics). The G Shock, based on the DW-6900 (full code DW-6900KR-8JR), has been given a silver finish and features Krink logos on the strap and dial surround. We think it looks pretty cool. Again we’ve not been able to find any information on number produced but it will be priced at ¥ 14,700 (about £110)
