This year is looking to be a busy year for Casio G Shock as they announce the latest batch of new and brilliant designs. There are two new announcements specifically that we would like to draw your attention to. The first is for a new digital design whilst the second is a likely to be a flagship G Shock that incorporates a thermometer and barometer into the design.
Coded GD-200 this first new range has a new case design and so far comes in three colours; GD-100-1ER in black, GD-100-2ER in blue and GD-100-4ER in red. We’re not sure on exact stats yet but we get the impression that these G Shocks are going to be on the big side and come with fairly standard resin straps. Judging from the face dial we reckon that there’ll be some impressive stopwatch features included. The black watch should be available here in the UK by the middle of spring but we’re hoping to also be able to get hold of the other colours as well.
The other range, coded GDF-100, is going to be a bestselling range. These G Shocks are similar to the previous bestselling Riseman G Shock in that they come equipped with barometer, altimeter, and thermometer. Unlike the Riseman these don’t seem to come with solar power or the WaveCeptor radio control module. Most likely this will mean these sell at a much cheaper price although we would expect updated versions to be released in the future with these features. So far there are three versions; GDF-100-1AER which is black with positive digital display, GDF-100-1BER is also black but with a black negative display and GDF-100-4ER which is red. We’ll be trying very hard to get all of these G Shock watches in stock, they’re brilliant.
So what do you think of these G Shocks and which do you have your eye on?
Stock Update: The GA-110C-7AER finally landed here at ZG Watches yesterday. We didn’t get many so be quick if you want to get your hands on this white G Shock.
