The range of sports watches from Casio, called Edifice, goes from strength to strength. Since Casio become official time keepers of the Red Bull F1 Team their Edifice watches have been elevated to become the brands premium range of sporty dress watches. Premium however comes at a price and equipped with gadgets like solar power and radio controlled timekeeping you’ll not get much change from your purchase. With this in mind it’s nice to see that some new Edifice watches to be released later this year will come without the WaveCeptor module. Usually this means a massive saving on price.
So far Casio has announced that there are three new Edifice models; the EQS-1100DB, EQS-1000DB and EQS-700DB. Each is based on a previous design but without the WaveCeptor module. They’re all sporty looking and have been themed by Casio’s PR gurus “Speed and Intelligence” which presumably explains the motor racing inspired designs. We’re not sure on price but would expect them to be cheaper than their EQW counterparts. As usual there’ll probably be different colour variations and strap options although we’ll have to wait and see which ones make it to Europe.
We like these new Edifice watches. Hopefully we can get them in as we’re confident they’ll sell very well. What do you think of them?
Ever so slightly off topic we’ve just received the new Ironman 2 Edifice watch in stock. The EQW-M1100DB-1AER looks great and is proving very popular so if you want one act fast. We’re not sure how many of these we’ll be able to get hold of in the future.
