Zeitgeist Watches 28 Day Warranty
We check all watches before we send them. But, like with all things man made, they, and we, are fallible. If you receive your watch and you cannot seem to make it work or it is definitely not ticking please ring us on 0151 2271614 or email us at sales@zgwatches.co.uk. In most cases we can resolve the issue over the phone or by email
Within 28 days of your receipt of you watch we take full responsibility of its working condition. If something does go wrong with it within this period please contact us. If we need you to send the watch back to us we will ask you to do so but we aim to resolve most issues over the phone. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further details on getting a faulty watch back to us.
When we receive a watch back, we will inspect it very carefully. If the watch is faulty because you have dropped it from a skyscraper or something, then you will not be entitled to a refund, in which case we will contact you.
Please note that Zeitgeist Watches 28 Day Warranty is limited and does not cover:
- Aesthetic defects caused by improper use such as scratches
- Damages to the materials resulting from improper handling, negligence and/or accidents
- Functional damage caused by abnormal use and/or abuse of the watch
For services or repairs that are not covered by this warranty ZeitGeist Watches may need to charge you for said services or repairs.
Please note that as soon as you have worn your watch for a "reasonable" amount of time it then enters the remit of the manufacturers warranty and as such ZeitGeist Watches reserves the right to send watches back to the manufacturers under their warranty.
Manufacturers Warranty
All of our watches come with a manufacturers warranty. In most cases, upon showing your warranty paperwork, you should be able to get your watch repaired by a reputable authorised dealer. Alternatively you should also be able to send it back to the manufactures themselves. If this is not possible then we will need you to contact us as we may need you to return the watch to us so that we can forward it onto the manufacturers. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further details on getting a faulty watch back to us.
We highly recommend that you read your warranty card as soon as you receive your watch as there will be limitations. In most cases, batteries, straps and crowns are not covered by the manufactures warranty. Please also take note of the amount of time covered by the warranty as this will differ with brand and watch model. Although we try to keep our website as up to date as possible the warranty periods stated should not be taken for granted. If you find there are discrepancies, for which ZeitGeist Watches takes no responsibility, please inform us so that we can update our website.
Strap Adjustments
Given the fact that we are a little bit far away from you, it would make little sense for you to send us the watch back for adjusting the strap. Just imagine… you have sent off your watch and received it back, only to find it still does not fit!
Therefore, we request that customers who need their straps adjusted visit their high street jewelers and ask them to do it. In some cases they may ask for a donation, or some may even charge you. We are sorry but ZeitGeist Watches accepts no responsibility for these charges though if you are confident we can talk you through adjusting the strap yourself.
Batteries
Batteries are usually never covered by warranty as they are considered a consumable item and will therefore expire at some point. The life span of a battery in a watch varies depending on the model and usage but we would expect it to last at least a year.
When a watch is manufactured the only way for the manufacturer to pass it through quality control is to have the watch functioning immediately. Not only does this allow them to make sure that it is functioning properly but it also allows them to know that they have sealed the watch correctly so that the water resistance stated is correct. This means that your watch may have been ticking for anywhere up to two years before you receive it.
We understand that customers can get frustrated when their relatively new watch stops working because of battery failure. Unfortunately ZeitGeist Watches can accept no responsibility for this apart from in the first 28 days of ownership, if you are covered by this warranty please ring us on 0151 2271614 or email us at sales@zgwatches.co.uk for advice on how we can help.
If you need to get a new battery for your watch you have a few options. If your watch is water resistant to 30 meters or more we strongly recommend that you contact the manufacturer. You will probably need to send your watch back to them and incur a charge, on the plus side their charges are normally quite small and they will also be able to give your watch a once over to make sure that everything is in order. They should also reseal the watch and guarantee the water resistance for you. If it is more convenient for you a reputable high street jewelers or watch repairer can change batteries at a cost of around £10. When taking this route make sure that the watch repairer in question has an accredited history and the required qualifications. A good starting point for recommended repairers is the BHI.
