Stock Availability We have designed our website to look after itself and tell you if we have got something in stock. However, you must understand that we cannot always guarantee an item is in stock. We do however aim to inform you if the website has misled in any way within 24 hours of receiving your order on a working day. We currently have four statuses on product availability.
My order status has been updated to "Order Shipped" In most cases this would mean that you should expect delivery the next day before 13.00pm if you have chosen special delivery (UK only - excluding some faraway islands), within the next 72 hours for standard delivery, or on the next Saturday. If any problems do occur that might affect delivery times we would aim to inform you as soon as possible. Your parcel should be delivered by your local postman but can sometimes come in a van slightly later in the day. Please note that all packages sent require a signature. Should you not be in at the time of delivery your postman should leave a calling card with details on how to pick up your parcel or get it redelivered at a more convenient time or address. If your watch does not get to you in a reasonable amount of time please contact us, 0151 2271614, and we will provide you with a tracking number to contact the Royal Mail with. If you are getting a watch delivered to a work address please make sure that you have checked all areas of the business to make sure that it has not been delivered. ReturnsI don not much like my watch very much! Not to worry, we will accept any watch back within a 14 day cooling off period. For information on how to send a watch back to us please print off this Returns Form and follow the instructions carefully making sure to sign that you understand the terms and conditions. What happens if you have forgotten to get the watch back to us within 14 days? No problem, we will still take the watch back but we will only offer an exchange or a credit note. The only exception to this rule is Christmas, when we are sure you will be having too much fun to be contacting us until January. In which case we have been kind enough to give you the first working week in the New Year to inform, and get the watch back to us. You are responsible for getting your watch back to us in perfect condition. ZG Watches accept no responsibility for goods being returned to us until they have actually arrived on our premises. We also take no responsibility for postage costs associated with returning an unwanted watch. As such we recommend that you use an insured service requiring a proof of delivery signature and package the watch well to avoid transport damage We will inspect your returned watch very carefully. We must be 100% confident that the watch is resalable. Here are some of the following reasons for refusal of return
If we feel that the watch you have returned is not in its original condition we will send your watch back to you. Finally, watches that are sent back for a full refund for no other reason than aesthetic will incur a charge of £5.00 to cover administrative costs involved with processing the original order and return. This charge is waived should you request an exchange. Any additional postage charges paid for the original order are non-refundable. Christmas Returns Notice Any watches bought from the 1st of November will automatically be assumed as a Christmas purchase. For these Christmas purchase orders our returns policy is extended to the 9th January. Any orders that are unwanted during this period need to be sent back to ZG and received by the 9th January at the very latest to be entitled for a refund. Thereafter only exchanges will be possible. If you need any further information regarding this extended returns policy please contact us. My watch is not tickin?! A watch can go faulty in a whole host of different ways. Please visit our Warranty Details page to see how to deal with your problem. The delivery guy has battered my watch!!! Royal Mail are pretty good, but even they can get it wrong. If the packaging is damaged when you sign for it, please state so to the postman. If it is damaged to the extent that the watch has been broken then we need you to contact us. Please ring us on 0151 2271614. For information on how to send the watch back to us please print off this Returns Form and follow the instructions carefully making sure to sign that you understand the terms and conditions. Because it is not your fault the watch is damaged, we will take responsibility for postage. We advise that when you send your watch back that you include your receipt of payment so that we can refund any costs incurred. Remember, Royal Mail is offering a service not only to you, but also to us. If it looks like they are responsible for the damage, we would appreciate it if you could enclose a letter of complaint concerning the state of the parcel. We will then be able to claim against the insurance. Thank you! WEEE Returns The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (or WEEE) Regulations are now U.K. law and this basically means that distributers (us) of electronical goods (like wristwatches) are responsible for disposing of said goods. That means you can send your old unwanted watches back to us though there are conditions. First of all you can only send WEEE back to us if you have puchased EEE (Electrical and Electronic Equipment) from us, or in English, buy a watch from us and you can send us an old watch back. If you do send us WEEE back than you need to do this within 30 days of receiving you new EEE. We can refund you the cost of postage (within reason) if you comply with these conditions. There are no additonal charges for this service so it is essentially free of charge. To send WEEE back to us please print off our WEEE Returns Form. Full terms and conditions are listed on this sheet so please read carefully. Please click here for the WEEE regulations information sheet. Further WEEE Information The idea of WEEE is to make sure that we no longer just throw away electrical stuff into landfills. This is environmentally unfriendly and dangerous to human health as WEEE contains hazerdous chemicals and non-biodigradable substances so we need to dispose of such stuff in a better fashion, like recycling for instance. By sending WEEE back to us we pass it onto the experts who can dispose of, recycle or reuse WEEE properly. You can tell if a product needs to be disposed of in accordance with WEEE regulations if you see the symbol here on the right somewhere on the product or on paperwork associated with the product. When you see this symbol your role here is to make sure that you do not just throw your WEEE away in the municipal waste but pass it on to the appropriate people.
Because watches are quite small you will noramlly have to look in the paperwork but it is probably safe to assume all watches are WEEE. Warranty DetailsZeitgeist Watches 28 Day Warranty We check all watches before we send them. But, like with all things man made, they, and we, are fallible. If you receive your watch and you cannot seem to make it work or it is definitely not ticking please ring us on 0151 2271614 or email us at sales@zgwatches.co.uk. In most cases we can resolve the issue over the phone or by email Within 28 days of your receipt of you watch we take full responsibility of its working condition. If something does go wrong with it within this period please contact us. If we need you to send the watch back to us we will ask you to do so but we aim to resolve most issues over the phone. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further details on getting a faulty watch back to us. When we receive a watch back, we will inspect it very carefully. If the watch is faulty because you have dropped it from a skyscraper or something, then you will not be entitled to a refund, in which case we will contact you. Please note that Zeitgeist Watches 28 Day Warranty is limited and does not cover:
For services or repairs that are not covered by this warranty ZeitGeist Watches may need to charge you for said services or repairs. Please note that as soon as you have worn your watch for a "reasonable" amount of time it then enters the remit of the manufacturers warranty and as such ZeitGeist Watches reserves the right to send watches back to the manufacturers under their warranty. Manufacturers Warranty All of our watches come with a manufacturers warranty. In most cases, upon showing your warranty paperwork, you should be able to get your watch repaired by a reputable authorised dealer. Alternatively you should also be able to send it back to the manufactures themselves. If this is not possible then we will need you to contact us as we may need you to return the watch to us so that we can forward it onto the manufacturers. Please refer to our Returns Policy for further details on getting a faulty watch back to us. We highly recommend that you read your warranty card as soon as you receive your watch as there will be limitations. In most cases, batteries, straps and crowns are not covered by the manufactures warranty. Please also take note of the amount of time covered by the warranty as this will differ with brand and watch model. Although we try to keep our website as up to date as possible the warranty periods stated should not be taken for granted. If you find there are discrepancies, for which ZeitGeist Watches takes no responsibility, please inform us so that we can update our website. Strap Adjustments Given the fact that we are a little bit far away from you, it would make little sense for you to send us the watch back for adjusting the strap. Just imagine… you have sent off your watch and received it back, only to find it still does not fit! Therefore, we request that customers who need their straps adjusted visit their high street jewelers and ask them to do it. In some cases they may ask for a donation, or some may even charge you. We are sorry but ZeitGeist Watches accepts no responsibility for these charges though if you are confident we can talk you through adjusting the strap yourself. Batteries Batteries are usually never covered by warranty as they are considered a consumable item and will therefore expire at some point. The life span of a battery in a watch varies depending on the model and usage but we would expect it to last at least a year. When a watch is manufactured the only way for the manufacturer to pass it through quality control is to have the watch functioning immediately. Not only does this allow them to make sure that it is functioning properly but it also allows them to know that they have sealed the watch correctly so that the water resistance stated is correct. This means that your watch may have been ticking for anywhere up to two years before you receive it. We understand that customers can get frustrated when their relatively new watch stops working because of battery failure. Unfortunately ZeitGeist Watches can accept no responsibility for this apart from in the first 28 days of ownership, if you are covered by this warranty please ring us on 0151 2271614 or email us at sales@zgwatches.co.uk for advice on how we can help. If you need to get a new battery for your watch you have a few options. If your watch is water resistant to 30 meters or more we strongly recommend that you contact the manufacturer. You will probably need to send your watch back to them and incur a charge, on the plus side their charges are normally quite small and they will also be able to give your watch a once over to make sure that everything is in order. They should also reseal the watch and guarantee the water resistance for you. If it is more convenient for you a reputable high street jewelers or watch repairer can change batteries at a cost of around £10. When taking this route make sure that the watch repairer in question has an accredited history and the required qualifications. A good starting point for recommended repairers is the BHI.
