Giant Polish clock 'looks like Tokyo Flash watch'

Polish students, architects and designers may be giving Tokyo Flash watches plenty of free advertising with their latest effort being displayed on the front of their university.

The Big Binary Clock in Wroclaw displays the time using an assortment of 18 porthole-like windows, with the more technically-advanced scientists being able to read the display in binary while a vertical line of three windows displays the time for less clued-up individuals passing the campus, Gizmodo explained.

It continued: "Like a giant Tokyo Flash watch, this binary clock installation at the Technical University of Wroclaw, Poland, was erected by students hoping to promote the technical nature of their university. How noble."

The time can be set remotely via a Bluetooth connection, while an NXP ARM7 processor keeps the whole rig working around the clock.

Last month, Tokyo Flash watches were described as a great last-minute present by Gizmodo, which said they are the perfect gift for those wanting to stand out from the crowd and ensure they are always on time, should they be known for consistently being late. ADNFCR-2637-ID-19493117-ADNFCR
