Nooka takes innovative and thoughtful route with Haiti


Fans of Nooka watches may want to dig deep and get themselves another timepiece after it was revealed that the company will be donating some money to help out one of the least fortunate countries in the world at present.

Haiti, which was struck by a terrible earthquake earlier in the month that resulted in the deaths of thousands after just a few seconds of tremors, needs aid in so many ways, though Nooka is taking the long-term approach and donating to Architecture for Humanity.

Between January 21st and February 21st, the organisation will be giving ten per cent of all profits to the fund, which divides its proceeds into three per cent fundraising outreach, nine per cent administration costs and a whopping 88 per cent on construction and design services.

It is hoped that the two to three million people without shelter will be given new homes in the future, after over 30 aftershocks razed most remaining buildings after the initial devastation.
