Valentine's Day celebrated again by Blancpain wrist watch

Blancpain is certainly thinking outside the box with its newest wrist watch.

Valentine's Day is an occasion close to many people's hearts, but perhaps none more so than Blancpain, which has created another wrist watch for those with a lot of extra cash to spend on impressing their partner.

Gizmag examined the newest Blancpain set for general sale on February 14th: a heart-shaped watch face set in mother-of-pearl and pink sapphires, also featuring a border of over 500 precious stones. There's only 14 too, meaning just a select few can get one.

Blancpain also decided upon attaching satin straps to the timepiece for the ultimate feeling of luxury, while the Lady Bird Calibre 615 mechanism will likely push the price of the model to new heights - perhaps as much as £600,000, given the highly-coveted nature of its workings.

"Though we have previously covered Blancpain's Valentine's day release, this is the first time that Blancpain has deviated from a more familiar form of watch in over 250 years of master watchmaking," Gizmag added.

Blancpain is a member of the Swatch Group, the biggest watch manufacturer in the world.
