Kenneth Cole watches boss wins humanitarian prize

The man behind the Kenneth Cole watches brand picked up a top fashion honour at a star-studded event in New York last week.

Kenneth Cole, who began his career as a shoe designer before branching out into clothing, wrist watches and bags, was given the Humanitarian Award at Fashion Group International's Night of Stars.

The New York-based designer, who counts Halle Berry, Jessica Alba and Blake Lively among his fans, is famed for his work with HIV/Aids support groups, as well as helping a variety of charities through his company's Awearness campaign.

He is also working with Jon Bon Jovi on an affordable housing project in New Jersey and it was the rock star who presented Cole with his award.

Among the other celebrities to join the Kenneth Cole watches supremo and the Bon Jovi frontman at the event were Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese, Michael Stipe and Mary J Blige. ADNFCR-2637-ID-19427294-ADNFCR
