Ross Lovegrove designs new Issey Miyake watches

A stylish new range of Issey Miyake watches is to be released in October.

Although primarily known for perfumes and clothes, Issey Miyake also produces some stunning fashion watches for both ladies and men.

The current wrist watch offerings from the Japanese fashion house will be supplemented by the Hu range from next month.

They are not designed by Issey Miyake himself, but instead by Ross Lovegrove, one of the world's leading industrial designers.

All three of the Issey Miyake watches in the Hu range are made of titanium and stainless steel, and come with a silicon band.

The understated dials are positioned on a slight slope, which Lovegrove believes will make them much easier to view, while the bands are designed to fit neatly on the wrist and have been given a smooth finish for added comfort.

Lovegrove said the latest Issey Miyake watches echo his "lifelong feelings about watches as a prosthetic extension of the body". ADNFCR-2637-ID-19343979-ADNFCR
