Issey Miyake to feature in Elton John charity auction

People who love Issey Miyake wrist watches will likely be interested to know that the designer's wares will form part of an upcoming auction being held by Elton John.

Harry Mount of the Daily Mail went to investigate the singer's newest bid to improve the lives of those affected by AIDS as he put his old costumes at a cut-down price in Covent Garden's Old Flower Market.

Among the pieces were thousands of Prada shoes, a number of Versace shirts, overcoats designed by Alexander McQueen and a whole host of items belonging to his partner David Furnish, who has also been known to entertain his man by joining in with the fancy dress on nights out.

Issey Miyake fans will have undoubtedly snapped up the £50 scarves to match their wrist watch - particularly given that they were originally £300.

Earlier this month, Issey Miyake launched a new version of its Trapezoid AL timepiece, adding the purple edition to its black and white offerings.
