G-Shock watches to be given away to talented youngsters

The Simmons Family and Rush Philanthropic will be sponsoring the upcoming Tenth Annual Youth Holiday Party at the Fillmore New York at Irving Plaza, with G-Shock watches featuring heavily in the ceremony.

This event is held in celebration of creativity in New York City and will bring together over 400 underprivileged New York City children working with the 50 youth arts organisations supported by Rush Philanthropic.

Russell Simmons, the co-founder of Rush Philanthropic, said that the development of childhood creativity is one of the most important things for young people and to withhold this from them is to "deprive" their growth as individuals.

Lucky youngsters will be leaving with big goodie bags, with many including G-Shock watches.

He continued: "The Rush Philanthropic annual holiday event continues to harvest the important seeds planted in the talented youth across New York City while celebrating their creative expression."

Russel Simmons is the brother of Joseph Simmons, better known as Run from Run-DMC, one of the world's most successful hip-hop and rap bands.
