G Shock watch 'useful in cold weather'

The G Shock watch has been flagged up as the ideal wrist watch for fans of the outdoors ahead of the autumn and winter seasons.

According to Ariel Adams of the Examiner, the timepiece from Casio can withstand temperatures of as low as minus four degrees C.

The wrist watch also comes equipped with tools such as a tide chart, numerous alarms, a calendar, stopwatch and a water-resistant shell.

As a result, Mr Adams believes it could be a very useful item to have for those who are planning to brave the cold winter weather.

"A standard mechanical timepiece can freeze up when things get too cold," he commented.

Mr Adams added that the new Casio watch could be just the "right type of timepiece" for those who need to endure "tragically cold temperatures" later in the year.

The comments come shortly after Limited Hype magazine commended the functionality and look of the limited edition G Shock x LRG 10th Anniversary watch, of which only 1,000 have been made.
