Eco-friendly Casio watch rated highly

A Casio watch has been commended for helping people to reduce their impact on the environment.

The Baltimore Gadgets Examiner published a review of the Casio Wave Ceptor this weekend, in which it described the wrist watch as a "solid timekeeper".

However, the watch was said to be particularly noteworthy because it contains a number of green features which also offer financial benefits to the wearer.

For example, it is powered by solar energy, thereby enabling consumers to cut the cost of maintaining the device.

"The Casio Wave Ceptor will save you from having to buy and later dispose of batteries," said reviewer Aaron Chauncey.

He went on to highlight some of its other features, including its water-resistant shell, LED light and calendars for every year up to 2039.

Mr Chauncey added that the solar-powered wrist watch is a "nice looking" device and an "easy way" to avoid contributing to landfills.

The watch is also keyed in with radio transmitters across the world, which ensure that it stays accurate in different time zones.

This has, in Casio's words, made it the "most powerful tool" a person will ever wear on their wrist.
