Casio Edifice shortlisted for design and engineering award

The CES Innovations 2010 Design and Engineering Awards has named the Edifice EQW-M1000DB-1 Casio wrist watch as an honouree in the Personal Electronics category, it has been revealed.

The independent panel of judges consisting of industry designers and journalists chose the items that were most impressively designed in consumer technology, with the Edifice EQW-M1000DB-1 being featured in the Innovations Design and Engineering Awards Showcase.

It will be placed in the International Consumer Electronics Show and at Casio's booth in Central Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Shigenori Itoh, vice president of Casio's Timepiece Division, said: "We are honoured to be recognised by CES for the Edifice timepiece and privileged to be part of the prestigious Innovations Design and Engineering Award program.

He continued: "The Edifice line of watches embody high-tech features and stylish design, making it the perfect wrist accessory for the fashion forward man."

Last month, Casio G-Shock watches proudly declared its strong commitment to the skate and surf community by collaborating with Globe.
