Budget Casio watch is 'top ten wristwatch'

Despite the luxury wrist watch market producing some of the most attractive timepieces known to man, there is still room for classics from an altogether different budgetary restriction.

The Digital Timer A168wa-1qy Casio watch made the recent top ten wrist watch list created by ShortList, which explained that it easily took pride of place among offerings from Cartier, Tag Heuer and Rolex.

It asserted: "The immortal scene in Planes, Trains & Automobiles where John Candy pleads with a hotel owner who refuses to give him a room for the night in exchange for his Casio makes this reason enough to own one."

ShortList added that the entry of Casio watches into the digital watch market was a particularly significant turning point in timepiece making history.
